The Fort Smith Symphony performs the most famous and recognizable piano concerto ever written: Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto, featuring the brilliant soloist Chaeyoung Park. After a brief intermission, the orchestra will bring Beethoven’s mighty Symphony No. 3 in E-flat Major to the stage, known as the “Eroica” or “Heroic” Symphony. This is truly an amazing work that lives up to its long-standing reputation as the as THE symphony of all time.  Don’t miss the chance to hear this music live.

This highly anticipated concert includes a rarely heard live performance of Max Richter‘s haunting “November” for solo violin and orchestra performed by Fort Smith Symphony Concertmaster, Er-Gene Kahng. Following “November” is the beautiful Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra by British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, performed by Fort Smith Symphony Principal Tubist, Ryan Robinson, showing off the beautiful lyric qualities of the tuba.  After intermission, the mighty Symphony No. 2 by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius will be performed. This amazing work has long been recognized as one of the great symphonies of the Romantic era. It includes one of the most epic finales of any symphony ever composed. Hearing this program live is an event not to be missed.

The Fort Smith Symphony presents a free outdoor concert in front of the UAFS clocktower, featuring music from The Magnificent Seven, Harry Potter, Yellowstone, Star Wars, Pirates of the Carribbean, Saving Private Ryan, Spiderman, X-Men, and The Greatest Showman. Bring your lawn chairs and picnics for a beautiful evening of music on the UAFS Campus.
